“Ego coques ergo sum”

 I cook therefore I am

My story

Getting lost at food markets, spending hours there by myself. Smelling and tasting the food, discovering new flavours, thinking about the infinite combinations- this is the cure for my soul and body, this is my world. So welcome to it, welcome to Food- Addict, my little space of culinary self- expression. If you stop by you will understand that I truly am what my name stands for: a real food-addict.

I started this blog not so long time ago. The idea behind it was born during my Erasmus studies where I became well known due to dinners I was hosting. When I met my future flatmates I was so nervous that I did not know what to say or what to do to break the ice, so I did what I knew the most- I cooked for them. And it worked. But this was just the beginning. Small dinners evolved into regular food gatherings, when I was cooking for 20, 30 or even 40 friends. and I loved it. I loved preparing for it for days, spending hours in a kitchen and then enjoying the food with my friends. It was their idea to share my knowledge with the rest of the world and this is the story how it started. Food makes me happy and sharing it with the others makes me even happier. This is the reason I started blogging.

I have always been a self-learner, rarely following any recipes. It has always been about creativity and instinct. Understanding food, its texture, flavours and taste. For me cooking is an art and a form of self-expression. It is my life and the way how I acquire peace in my mind.

In this blog you will find various types of recipes. I do not follow any particular diet but you can still find vegan, dairy free or gluten free recipes.  But there is something what all of them have in common and that is simplicity. I believe there is beauty in simplicity, not just in everyday life but in food as well.

So this is it. This is my story. I hope you like it and I hope you will find some inspiration here.

If you have any questions for me or you need any advice, feel free to comment here on the blog or leave me a message at my facebook page or email.
